So a small update that brings the Pause function!
send us a lot of screenshots of your bests Paused moments!
Note: Humble Store version will be updated Monday
keep on going :)
sadly stuck waiting till the 25th to be able to play this game.
This game is the same as in august 2012. Nobody wants to read about that you change one sound engine to another or something similar. The secret of super popularity – one new (decoration?) block every week – you will have millions of fans, who are already playing the game, not just waiting a new pause… Sorry, but it is really boring to look on that about 100 weeks one after another.
One new block per week.
Its faster than write some new blog entry.
Heh all the work that goes into making a game… it’s so sad how people just can’t appreciate the efforts it takes to do something like this… You probably haven’t gotten past wave 3. Please find a new game and try really hard not to take responsibility for someone else’s children.
Give us our money back and we will find another game.
It’s not about the number of blocks, this is not minecraft, this is about how you use these blocks. Right now the best to do is improve gameplay mechanics.
If your not happy about this game, make this game, go write the code. A game is not easy to make !
In futur month, they will add new features, but THEY NEED balance the game, before add these features !
You are not the one who knows how to do it, how to develop. And yes, I do.
After years of development it’s still the same. Get clear with that.
The developers only change systems already been changed ago.
I’ll hope someday they realize what they are doing…
It isn’t actually too hard to decompile the code, so you could “fork it” if you really were inclined….
yes, lets have another minecraft
A broken, buggy game with nothing but endless amounts of useless blocks.
Thanks you to bring FEATURE , yes, “Pause” is a new feature !
This update is something that would be great additions to the game, except you have many different fixes and updates that are much more important than this. Optimize the AI. Fix the combat. Make this into a working game.
Also, where the roadmap?
I have given up on this game. I get excited to see updates, but they are the same, alot of babble about underlying code and no “improvements” worth getting excited for. Maybe have a look at Space Engineers development? They keep the masses aroused with weekly content and bug fix updates. I know its an extreme. But when was the last time something worth getting excited for in this game was added?
And to the people who are going to respond with counter arguments don’t bother. I paid for this game, and its my right to complain, as it is your right to argue in the developers defense. Weekly updates about their new studio, and trips to E3 and this and that, that has no bearing on the game we bought that they have done nothing worth doing in over a year.
Fact of the matter is they presented a “alpha” version that was playable, but buggy. I get the need to refine the code to support the games stability. We were told time and time again the new rewritten engine would support smaller updates that happened more frequently…humm still waiting.
Sauropod is in the final moments of keeping its fan base. The patience of the community is up. This game is fucked.
Its so funny to see you guys post saying that you have given up on the game but still post every week. How about you stop your tantrum. What do you think will happen by bad mouthing the dev team? And another thing, don’t speak as if you know how everyone feels. I for one want more from this game but I will wait for it. I will play other games while they continue working on this game. I am part of this community and I still have patience.
i whish i could remove this … thing … from my steam library somehow.
i wish i could remove your … post … somehow ^^
Played Sunday not knowing there was an update. I did not have one archer self kill itself. Although I had changed my layout to keep corruptrons further away from my archers. I was wondering if there where less corruptrons per level now, I actually think it was my archers are better (more effective) and not dying at the sight of corruptrons. Awesome.
Sounds like we’re due for a new wave of gameplay additions. Keep up the good work.
You know it wouldn’t be that bad if you guys would stop saying “we are almost done!” “In a week we will have some great news for you guys ;D” without delivering anything.
Can you not just say that you need more time and work quietly on updates?
Nobody reallly needs or wants to know that you added a minor internal change to the game.
The only thing you are doing is teasing the whole community.
Just let me forget about this game and come back in a few months when it’s done.
Stop with this “Oh yeah there surely will be huuuuuge improvements next months we are coming along nicely.”
Seriously stop promising stuff without delivering.
Also where is that roadmap you promised that I didn’t really care about anyway?
feels like they are now quietly working, since there was no blog/video-things this weekend. and yes, this need to promise anything is awful and misleading (it makes nobody happy).
The roadmap is here !
This is the roadmap: They just put in a bar and set it to a percentage completion without even explaining why you set it to that percent. This feels the same as saying “We are almost done”.
Hey, anybody know when the next community game night is?
I really love the concept of this game, and understand the development process is time consuming and full of roadblocks. That being said, I think adding co-op multiplayer sooner than later (fixing bugs once its in the game) would go a long way to get people playing more. Slinging explosive barrels across a gap between islands, while seeing who can build higher gets old quick. Single player is fun, but its not enough to hold my attention very long.
I appreciate that the devs haven’t given up, and once the game has progressed more, new people will play. Personally I haven’t played it more than twice since I bought it, but I’ve been eagerly waiting for updates and I’m content to let the devs make the game they want on their own roadmap.
