Castle Story (2017)

Castle Story is a creative voxel-based strategy game in which you can build castles one brick at a time using an army of little creatures called Bricktrons. Design and build your own castles, expand your territory in a vast landscape and defend your Bricktrons against onslaughts of hostile creatures.

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

After graduating from game design studies in 2010; Germain Couët and François Alain, shortly joined by Benoit Alain, wanted to create games that explore different genres never mixed before. Combining computer and tabletop game design with the right amount of creativity and imagination, together, they founded Sauropod Studio. The name Sauropod Studio came after they realized that all of them shared a childhood love for dinosaurs (love that, obviously, survived to adulthood).

Sauropod Studio, which is based in Montreal, now has several hard working developers that brave the icy cold temperatures five days a week, to offer you the best of themselves and work on games that will offer you infinite possibilities and satisfy what your imagination is craving.

Sauropod Studio is a young company where anyone with positive motivation and initiative can have a real impact on the projects we're working on. We work in a big, open air office where anyone can drop by anyone's desk to discuss anything - we encourage open communication and sharing. But if you need to buckle down and focus in a hush environment, we have several quiet meeting and working rooms. We think providing freshly ground and brewed coffee to your team should be a human right and have a snack drawer you can fish from whenever you're having the rumbles! Fruits and freshly baked bread are on Tuesday and everyone has three weeks of paid vacation every year, regardless of how long they've been here.

vfx artist

The visual effects (VFX) artist builds, in pair with the art direction and the development team, the visual signature of the project Sauropod Studio is currently working on. The VFX artist is equally confortable with animation, modeling and technical skills such as shaders and animation state-machines.

 

UI/UX Designer

The UI/UX Designer conceptualizes and oversees the production of our user interface design while ensuring a solid and functional user experience across our upcoming titles.
