UI/UX Designer

Sauropod studio is young and dynamic studio where anyone with motivation and a positive attitude may have an impact on the projects we create. We are searching for creative and passionate people to help us create unique and innovative games.

**This document is written in English for ease of access, but Sauropod Studio operates in French day to day. Fluency, comfort or willingness to communicate exclusively in French is required for this application.


Sauropod Studio is seeking a talented, multi-disciplinary designer to help both conceptualize and oversee the production of our user interface design while ensuring a solid and functional user experience across our upcoming titles. 


  • Designing the flow, layout and style of the User Interface both in-game and in the menus, then rapidly prototype and present mock-ups of these designs to iterate on before finalizing them.

  • Ensuring that all interactions with the game’s interfaces throughout development remain user-friendly while maintaining a certain regard towards accessibility principles.

  • Working with the art director to elaborate a unique visual signature for the title’s User Interface.

  • Collaborate with game designers to establish the ideal controls and inputs to ensure a fluid and consistent player interaction with the game’s mechanics.


Applications which do not conform to these criteria will not be considered

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience, either in an established studio or in an indie team.

  • Knowledge of 2D illustration software such as Photoshop or Illustrator.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with other departments.

  • A portfolio demonstrating these qualifications.


The following criteria are optional but will greatly help your application.

  • Other technical artistic abilities (animation, modeling, etc).

  • Knowledge of UI prototyping tools and software (Adobe XD, etc.)

  • Comfort with Unity3D.

  • Programming & scripting abilities (C#, Javascript, Lua or any other relevant language).

  • Experience shipping an independent game.

  • Knowledge using versioning software (Git, Perforce, SVN)

  • Comfort with the Windows OS
